Clock was set early this morning to catch a glimpse of the olympic torch as it toured through the Fylde on its way into East Lancashire and Manchester. The torch arrived into Lytham just after 7am this morning. Despite the poor weather, there were a lot of people lining the route. The feeling was of warmth and happiness with a lot of hugging going on and even the Metropolitan Police outriders were “high fiving” with the crowd. Congratulations to all the runners and everyone involved who braved the elements and made it a special day for all the Fylde.
